PrimexysCONNECTING PRIVATE MARKETS

Innovation / Unique Traceable Identifier

Interoperability infrastructure / identity layer

One fund identity.
Every transaction connected.

From fund creation to subscription, redemption, transfer and settlement, FundStream proposes a common identity and transaction-reference framework across private market infrastructures.

Concept / proposed network service

Disconnected infrastructure

Why identity breaks down.

From fund formation through distribution, subscription, confirmation and settlement, private-market information crosses multiple organizations, each with its own systems of record, onboarding data, message conventions and reference numbers.

Existing identifiers solve critical—but distinct—problems. An LEI identifies eligible legal entities. An ISIN identifies a financial instrument, where one is assigned. Neither, by itself, establishes a consistent network-wide reference for every fund relationship and every operational transaction across the full post-investment journey.

The consequences are practical: repeated mapping, avoidable exceptions, slower investigations and fragmented lifecycle visibility. More integration alone will not fix inconsistent identity.

Where fragmentation appears

Fund formation

Records emerge before all external identifiers have been assigned.

Distribution

Each platform may maintain a separate product and account reference.

Transaction processing

Instructions, confirmations and settlement updates are often reconciled through separate keys.

Servicing and reporting

Changes must be linked back to the same underlying fund and event.

The missing layer is not another registry of everything. It is a shared way to recognize what already exists.

Two complementary layers

Identify the fund.
Trace the transaction.

01 / Persistent fund identity

Universal Fund Identifier (UFI)

Assigned on onboarding — ideally at fund creation — to uniquely reference a fund or compartment within FundStream, including before external identifiers are available. Linked to the umbrella, manager, domicile, LEI and applicable share-class ISINs.

02 / Transaction-level identity

Network Transaction Identifier (NTI)

Issued when an instruction is accepted by the network. Persistent across routed messages, status changes, acknowledgments, allocation, confirmation and settlement coordination, with linked references for revisions or related transactions.

FS-TXN-2026-9M2J7WQ4

A FundStream-native reference, distinct from any mandated ISO 23897 derivatives UTI.

Important naming distinction

“Universal Transaction Identifier (UTI)” is used in regulated derivatives reporting. This conceptual page uses Network Transaction Identifier (NTI) for private-fund activity until any formal standards mapping is established. A regulatory UTI can be stored separately where applicable.

Lifecycle continuity

An identifier from day one.

FundStream captures an enduring reference at fund formation or first network onboarding, then links every subsequent transaction without taking ownership of the fund registry or back-office books and records.

01

Fund created

Fund or compartment registered; legal structure recorded

02

UFI assigned

Internal identity and external identifiers mapped

03

Instruction routed

NTI assigned; fund and share class referenced

04

Lifecycle updates

Parties exchange acknowledgments, validation and confirmation

05

Settlement status

Payment and asset rail references linked for traceability

Interoperability map

Connect existing standards,
don’t replace them.

Legal structure

LEI

Eligible legal entities and fund relationships

FundStream identity

UFI

Persistent fund / compartment reference and identifier mapping

Financial instrument

ISIN

Share class or instrument where assigned

Transaction layer

NTI → Routed messages → Counterparty and settlement references

Each NTI references a UFI and, where relevant, the applicable share-class ISIN; externally supplied trade or payment identifiers remain preserved.

Fund identity record / example

Meridian Private Credit Fund

FS-FND-7K4P9Q2M

Domicile: Luxembourg · Entity type: Sub-fund / compartment

Identifier status: Provisional — awaiting external instrument identifier

Share class ISIN: Not yet assigned · Legal entity LEI: Subject to eligibility and verification

The UFI remains unchanged as official identifiers are issued, corrected or updated.

Operational controls

Identity must be governed,
not merely generated.

Fund identity controls

Authority to request creation; duplicate detection; jurisdiction and entity validation; fund/compartment hierarchy; lifecycle states; effective-dated external reference mappings; corrections without ID reuse.

Transaction integrity controls

Issuer authority, idempotency, immutable original NTI, message IDs versus business transaction IDs, linked reversals and amendments, event audit trail, data-access permissions and reconciliation keys.

FundStream would serve as a neutral messaging and identity coordination layer — not an issuer of official ISINs or LEIs, a legal fund register, a transfer agent, or a settlement system.

For infrastructure partners

One reference framework
across fragmented systems.

Designed for asset managers, distributors, transfer agents, administrators, custodians and settlement infrastructures to exchange consistent references while maintaining their systems of record.
